A Sci-fi Horror Retelling of WW1 in a Dystopian Future
The Story
The story picks up as protagonists arise from the ashes of a fallen technocracy, once controlled by computers. Now, varying forms of specialized cyber-humanism - Cyberpunk, Clockpunk, Steampunk, Fusionpunk, and more - compete for control of the desolate underworld city, Metropolis.
With each small victory, a virulent lust for control seeps into the hearts of each faction's leaders. Seduced by the intoxicating promise of power, they yield to their darkest tendencies, and a Lovecraftian horror of war and domination consumes them.
Engaged in a battle they can neither cease nor escape from, the gang members grapple with the harrowing loss of all they once cherished - friends, homes, family. The fight soon transforms, not for dominance, but for survival and safeguarding the remnants of love in their decimated world.

War Punk! was written, acted and filmed by humans—and uses a blend of filming techniques and processes together with AI tools to turn ordinary video into a cool, gritty, cyberpunk aesthetic.
There’s a lot of hard work and passion behind this project, and we’re pumped to share our glimpse of an alternate future and timeline where some cyberpunk gangs duke it out in the streets of Metropolis.
Ethical A.I.
All A.I. tools are trained on massive datasets containing billions of images and trillions of bytes of data. As a result, it is possible to command a visual A.I. tool to “generate” an image in the style of a particular artist. It can also be used to “generate” an image in a generalized style, for example “Watercolor Painting” that is informed not by one artist’s watercolor style, but by a technical generalization of what makes a painting a watercolor style, (for example, paper texture, bright pastel colors, etc.) all of which are features that are not unique to any one artist.
By using the A.I. tools as a filter in the final step, we are applying the idea of animation to our existing produced images, in order to tie the VFX and compositing together in a stylistic and cohesive fashion. This focus on using ethical A.I. allows us to pave the way forward in the new future that both empowers and unlocks the creativity within all of us.
